So anyone who was at Congress last night knows that, if you want people to come to your band's shows, make them free. I've never seen Congress so packed. I saw Jason Isbell there last week, and given it was a Tuesday, but to say the crowd was lacking is an understatement. There was also a shortage of audience at Richard Buckner's recent show. These guys are decidedly bigger names than Austin's Mother Truckers, but MT nabbed the crowd. And once they had it, they certainly worked it.
